ERIK’S Opens In Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Sioux Falls, SD, February 6, 2019 – ERIK’S is excited to announce the purchase of Two Wheeler Dealer.  The Sioux Falls shop will join ERIK’S collection of stores in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.  The transaction occurred on February 1, and the store will reopen as ERIK’S on February 8.

“We worked closely with the owners and store managers Kamp Kirsch and Christie Kennelly to ensure we continue with what makes the shop great,” said Erik Saltvold, Founder and Owner of ERIK’S. “The shop name is changing, but you’ll see the same faces.  We are so happy that Kamp, Christie, and the team will continue to run the shop and provide the excellent customer service the shop is known for.”

A lot about the shop won’t change. All shop rides, including the Moon & Stars Ride, will still happen. The shop will continue to be a strong partner with the cycling community in Sioux Falls.  “We will continue to support local groups like Falls Area Bicyclists and Falls Area Singletrack,” Saltvold added. “This shop has been a great friend to the cycling community and it is important that that continues.”

Other than the name, there will be a few upgrades.

• More Bike! ERIK’S has the largest selection of bikes in the Midwest. Customers will also have access to the largest selection of Specialized and Bianchi bikes in the U.S., and the largest selection of Santa Cruz mountain bikes in the Midwest.
• Electric Bikes! ERIK’S has one of the largest inventories of electric bikes in the Midwest.
• Skis & Snowboards! Starting in the fall of 2019 the shop will be stocking the best ski, snowboard & winter apparel brands including Burton, Volkl, RIDE, K2, Capita, Helly Hansen, 686, and more! Plus, we’ll service and repair skis & snowboards.
• shopERIKS.com! The shop will be fully integrated with shopERIKS.com. You can buy it online, and pick it up in-store. You can buy it online and get it shipped directly to you. And of course, you can buy in-store.

During the transition, the shop will be closed from January 31 to February 7.  It will reopen as ERIK’S on February 8. “The store will be reopening in the middle of our famous Big Clearance – a preseason cycling clearance sale,” Saltvold said. “Cycling customers will find huge discounts on bikes, cycling apparel, and gear.”

The store is located at 3315 S. Spring Ave. just off 41 St. and Minnesota Ave., about half a mile north of Tomar Park and the River Greenway Bike Trail.

In addition to bikes, cycling apparel, and gear, starting in the fall of 2019 ERIK’S will also sell & service downhill skis and snowboards, plus all the gear that goes with them.  ERIK’S will offer ski and snowboard service from October through February.
